April 4 – 10 Days Old
Every night I have to empty the nest box and put clean cedar shavings and hay in it and rebuild the nest. Lexi continues to use the nest box as a litter pan and the kits are also peeing a lot and soaking everything. The kits are showing more and more of their colors every day. The two broken orange kits can be identified now because one has much more white on its head. Now that we can tell them apart we have given them temporary names. We always give all our kits girl’s names until we find out what sex they are. So we have Alexi, which is the one that looks just like Lexi. The cream colored one is Penelope, the black tort is Willow. The broken orange ones are Quynn and Ellie and the broken blue tort is Charisse.
