April 6 – 12 Days Old
All the kits now have their eyes open. I think as they are growing they are peeing more because now I not only have to clean the entire nest box every night, but halfway through the day I add a fresh layer of cedar shavings and hay because it looks so damp. The kits smell so good, just like cedar shavings. They are still mostly sleeping in the nest box which is good because I know they are safe and healthy. I always worry about the kits, because lots of times many of them don’t make it, but with each day they are getting bigger and stronger so that makes me worry a bit less.
