March 29 – Four Days Old
Lexi peed on her babies. They were all wet and sticky. We had to take each one from the nest and wipe it with a cloth dipped in warm water. Then we took another cloth to dry each kit. Next I cleaned the entire nest box since Lexi had peed and pooped all over it. We are still doing the morning and night nursings and Lexi still seems ok with it as long as she gets treats and attention. This morning two of the babies were in a different part of the nest, but they were warm and fine so I just put them back with the others so the super six could be together.
